Job Description:
- Manage Projects to supply generator set for different industries.
- Prepare / Check drawings and generate related documents according to customer specifications for approval.
- Review drawings and modify as required by customer.
- Liaise and coordinate with customer & vendor for mechanical / electrical drawings.
- Coordinate all mechanical / electrical interfacing of designated projects to meet customer specifications.
- Engineering activities such as specifications/data sheets and technical documents review.
- Prepare project schedule for individual projects according to requirements.
- Monitor and liaise with logistics department for import the generator sets from overseas.
- Attend Site survey, client & consultant meetings for project needs.
- Prepare / Check all safety related documents like Method of Statement (MOS), Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedure (SWP) & lifting plan according to projects/customers need.
- Co-ordinate and lead the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT, Site Acceptance Test (SAT) with customer / consultants and ensure all test reports are endorsed.
- Schedule and co-ordinate onsite training and testing.
- Submit weekly project updates to management and highlight any key issues or concerns.
- Prepare and submit complete genset package OMM for individual project according to customer requirements.
- Monitor and control projects from award to closure and ensuring the project deliverables are met.
- Monitor individual project costings as per sales budget and meet profit margins.
- Maintain a proper record of all communications related to the project.
- Provide technical support & assist Sales team as and when required.
- Maintain proper project folders and keep all documents in individual projects for auditing purpose.
- Fulfil any other duties as and when required by the team.
- Comply to all in house and on site safety regulations.
Job Requirements:
- Degree / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of related project handling experience in Engine/Genset industries.
- Must have basic knowledge in mechanical / electrical aspect of Power Systems & Control Panels.
- Able to read and understand basic Electrical Schematic diagrams for Genset Control Systems.
- Able to read and understand mechanical drawings like General arrangement drawings & Site Architect layout drawings.
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Adobe Acrobat is required.
- Ability to travel multiple locations on a project basis.
- Ability to handle multiple projects.
- Must possess good interpersonal, communication and supervisory skills.
- Good team player with ability to work independently.
- Possess a class 3 driving license is an advantage.
