Senior Performance and Scalability Engineer

We are looking for an experienced engineer to augment our software development and testing team. You will oversee system performance lifecycle and identify key metrics for performance improvement; and help in the translation of scalability testing to system sizing.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in system architecture discussions and performance optimizations
• Develop and maintain scripts and tools for simulating system loads that mirror real world use cases and system profiles for our product
• Translate performance testing results to identify areas of improvements as it relates to capacity, reliability and scalability
• Perform root cause analysis of performance issues and suggest or implement corrective actions

Requirements

• Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields
• 5+ years of relevant experience in a software development environment with a focus on performance and scalability testing
• Expert in Automation Tools such as Jmeter
• Familiarity with both system deployments in cloud and on-prem environments
• Experience with performance analysis, system tuning and development of software benchmarks
• Translate scalability results into system sizing for customers
• Knowledge for HTTP load generation and measurement software
• Experience in web development technology
• Strong understanding of network technologies e.g. load balancers and firewalls and database servers

Knowledge in the following would be advantages:

• DevOps
• AWS and/or Azure Cloud Technologies
