This position reports to the Manager for IT Application Administration & Support.
Responsibilities
- The IT Application Engineer shall undertake the role of Application Administrator (AA) and manage the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) & Computer Aided design (CAD) Application Servers & Services.
- Set up User accounts and workstations, Ensure project data security through access controls.
- Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes.
- Proactively monitor application performance.
- Maintain up-to-date inventory and configuration documentation for PLM Application and Customized Programs.
- Maintain and enhance existing automation scripts to improve business processes.
- Provide IT support to the end users, investigate all reported problems/errors & initiate amendments & testing so that the PLM system can operate correctly & efficiently.
- Maintain proper documentation according to organizational policies and practices.
- Perform necessary reviews in accordance to compliance policies or practices. (e.g. account reviews, log reviews etc.).
- Support audit and compliance activities.
- Demonstrating PLM & CAD system new Capabilities or enhancements to end users before implementation.
- Coordinate / Perform Level 1,2 and 3 support and helpdesk service requests.
- Plan, Coordinate & Conduct applications training for End Users.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Minimum a Degree / Diploma in Computer Science or Information System.
- Trained in Unigraphics (NX), Creo Parametric (Pro-E) & Teamcenter PLM Applications.
- Certification in Microsoft Window Server (2012 above), Microsoft SQL (2016 above) and Oracle (9i & above). Database Administration will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Java, UFUNC, GRIP, C & C++ Structure Programming languages.
- Minimum 2 years Industry experienced with CAD/CAM, & PLM Application.
- Applicants with knowledge and/ or experience of Unigraphic (NX) and Teamcenter would be an Advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to identify, determine & resolve Design Workstation’s malfunctions and issues related to Applications.
- Ability to write technical instruction and conduct training to users on the use of CAD Tools PLM applications.
- Ability to self-learn, acquire new skills and support new CAD systems and PLM applications.
- Adaptable to changes with a positive attitude.
- Good interpersonal skills across inter departments.
- Self-driven and team player.
