Embedded Systems Engineer, PSD, Mobility Rail

We are looking for a creative, resourceful Embedded Systems Engineer to join us. The Embedded Systems Engineer is responsible for conceptual / detailed schematic design of compact and modular PCBA circuitries for motor control and will have the opportunity to participate in prototyping and testing of their design. He or she will also design the layout of the PCBA, optimized for production, cost, and efficiency. This role requires good technical writing skills to produce documentation for development and subsequent certification purposes. The Hardware Design Engineer will work with a multi-disciplinary team. Preferred experience in PCBA design for Safety Integrity Level applications, motor drive circuitry, CAN/UART/Serial communication, power electronics, reliability design, compact PCBAs, and EMI/EMC designs. This is an opportunity to flex your design skills, with plenty of design space to be creative.

In addition to hardware, the Embedded Systems Engineer will also be proficient in firmware and embedded C coding. He / she will be able to develop firmware that is necessary for board bringing up and also application-level software if so required.

The product that we are developing is Platform Screen Doors, a safety product that interacts with millions of commuters using MRT and railway systems. It protects commuters from the train-platform gap hazard by acting as a barrier. Reliability, safety, and maintainability are the key features of platform screen doors. Our product development team is at the onset of our second generation of products.

Requirements:

• Master/Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Electronics/Electrical Engineering
• Experience in motor control and compact designs is an advantage
• Experience in the railway industry is an advantage
• Able to travel overseas when required
• Works closely with firmware and embedded software team
• Knowledge in embedded software is an advantage
• Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply
