The Executive / Senior Executive will be required to maintain a high level of service in Acute & Emergency Care Centre (A&E). To assist the Manager, Nurse Manger and Doctors in the daily running of the A&E and to maintain a high level of service to patients and to ensure continuous improvements to work processes. This involves:
1. Ensure efficient operation and drive optimum utilization of resources in alignment of hospital’s strategic plans.
2. Maintain operational and service standards in A&E, working closely with Nurse Managers, Doctors and other support departments.
3. Support the department and “walk the ground” to ensure patient services are delivered in a pleasant and comfortable environment. To manage patient crowd and mobilize manpower if necessary. This includes working with the Nurse Officer in the daily operational needs.
4. Identify service discrepancy trends/ issues and provide recommendations to Managers. To identify and help to resolve patient service problems encountered by Supervisor, PSAs and PRAs.
5. To coordinate with A&E Team in handling patient feedback and complaints, aiming to improve work processes through understanding of the issues.
6. Ensure systems used in A&E are in optimal working condition.
7. Ensure people, systems and infrastructure are ready for NGEMR/ future systems when it goes live.
8. Ensure accurate billings of services in A&E services.
9. Support and facilitate improvements/ projects through regular reviews with stakeholders.
10. Assist the Clinical Head of Department, Nursing leads and Manager in the review, implementation and enforcement of Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Data Protection measures (PDPA).
11. Participate in risks review initiatives (Enterprise Risk Management, Hazard Identification, Patient Safety Walkabout) with stakeholders and execute measures to mitigate risks.
12. To oversee generation of official and adhoc reports and ensure that the reports are sent timely.
The person will also be required to support the supervisor in the following:
1. To be able to plan and execute assigned projects.
2. To participate in the execution of the Department Action Plan.
3. To supervise the training of new staff: Executive, PSA & PRA.
4. To ensure continuous work improvements in A&E.
5. Support all corporate activities, as well as motivate and encourage staff participation in community projects
6. Conduct orientation and induction programme for new staff to A&E, where relevant.
