Assistant Principal Engineer, Mechanical

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical specifications for equipment procurement and perform technical evaluation of vendor’s bid
• Prepare relevant documents and drawings for project execution including Mechanical Datasheet, Technical Specification, Equipment Layouts, etc
• Check drawings/documents and ensure consistency with contractual technical specifications and Statutory authorities rules and regulation
• Lead/Review mechanical designs including Piping arrangement and Bill of Material for Approval, Execution and As-Built
• Arrange Material Take Off of equipment and mechanical component
• Optimize Equipment layout arrangement
• Manage and check technical information of external suppliers of equipment and systems and coordinate/cooperate with engineers from other trades in the organization
• Check drawings/documents and material list and ensure that they conform to contractual technical specifications, installation control documents and Statutory Rules/Regulations
• Control and monitor the creation of part number and description of material/item
• Ensure equipment specification, installation control document and interface design specification are properly maintained, disseminated and use for preparation of design activities
• Point of contact with contractor to provide design and engineering solutions onsite
• Participate in tests and trials, where required

Requirements

• At least 5-10 years as Mechanical Engineer in EPC project for Power, Petrochemical, Water and/or Waste-to-Energy plants
• Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Good knowledge of international design codes, Statutory Rules and Regulations
• Strong EPC background
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM Model as well as some knowledge of BIM Administrator
• Open minded and able to adopt different ideas for implementations
• Team player
