Bar Pallino, Boston

Located just below Faccia a Faccia is Bar Pallino. Inspired by the new generation of Paris wine bars like Septime La Cave, Bar Pallino showcases an extensive list curated by acclaimed beverage director Jodie Battles.

Bar Pallino focuses on organic, natural and biodynamic selections. The beverage menu offers a more extensive and esoteric list of 70+ wines, like Clot de L’Origine Barriot Blanc de Noir, La Stoppa “Trebbiolo Rosso” and Valli Unite Brut & Beast Sparkling (Valli Unite), to name just a few. In addition to the extensive wine list, Bar Pallino offers varieties of amaros, vermouths, and mezcals from smaller batch artisanal spirit brands.

Conceptualized as a wine bar, the design is cozy and dark, just as any other decent wine bar, but in a modern way making it quite a refreshing place to be. Instead of the wine being hidden in a cellar somewhere, it is all on display in a wine-wall format, which is quite appealing. Whether you choose to sit at the bar or grab a table, the atmosphere is convivial and welcoming. And I have to say that there is a nice after-work crowd during the week.
