This position will report directly to the Yard Fabrication Superintendent and meet with the Equipment Logistics Coordinator daily to align on support for the field operations through towing trailers and equipment and delivering supplies to and from the yard and/or vendors to job sites.  This role is also responsible for the organization and upkeep of the yard, as well as various material handling and preparation activities related to the construction industry.

Key / Specific Responsibilities:

• Loading/unloading of supplies from trucks and trailers, at times utilizing equipment to accomplish tasks.
• Drive/deliver material and equipment to project job sites in a pickup truck/trailer and 20’ stake bed truck.
• Communicating with key team members to ensure timely and accurate deliveries are consistently achieved.
• Verifying the accuracy of material (type & quantity) and equipment with Equipment Logistics Coordinator and/or Project Foreman prior to leaving the vendor site or equipment yard for delivery to the job site.
• Collecting and signing vendor invoices and turning them in to the Office Clerk for daily processing.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed in the yard and while operating McCarthy vehicles

Meeting Expectations:

• Daily Dispatcher Coordination Meeting.
• Daily Task Hazard Analysis Meeting prior to the start of work.
• Yard Safety Meetings (as scheduled).

Qualifications:

• Must possess a current and valid class C driver’s license, with a driving record that meets the insurance requirements.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. Work is primarily conducted outdoors and in a delivery vehicle
• Excellent communication, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Any experience working in a construction yard or similar environment is a plus.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment for loading and unloading of supplies is a plus.
• Ability to tow and back a trailer is a plus.

For Southern California locations only, the hourly rate for this position is: $20 to 25 depending on experience. This does not include possible bonus and other benefits which can impact total compensation. Compensation offered may vary based on work location, experience, qualifications, specialty, training, and market and business considerations, among other factors.
