Water/Wastewater Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a professional Water Wastewater Engineering Specialist to join our Water/Wastewater division in Austin, TX. STV specializes in the planning, organization, and development of engineering activities for the construction and maintenance of water and wastewater facilities.

Responsibilities include:

• Production of contract documents including plans and specifications
• Perform pipeline hydraulic flow and pressure calculations.
• Perform pump calculations and develop system curves for sizing pumps.
• Water and Wastewater treatment process engineering and design support.
• Prepares construction and design cost estimates.
• Develops project specific specifications.
• Perform engineering duties in planning and designing electrical water and wastewater pipelines, pumping, storage, and treatment systems.
• Responsible for or willingness to learn project management, client interface and business development of future projects.
•  Makes site visits during design and construction to inspect the electrical construction installation.
• Review construction shop drawings and submittals for compliance with project design documents.

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited University or NCEES equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in water and wastewater systems.
• Texas EIT Certification, required.
• Ability to work and communicate well will other design disciplines.
• Possesses strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS is a plus.
• Participation in professional organizations, as well as committee involvement would be a plus.

Compensation Range:$67,246.00 – $89,661.00
