The Vacation Advisor, an hourly position based in Anaheim, California, will attend a paid training class participating in multiple performance assessments.
This position is primarily on-site at Disneyland Park with the potential to work from home based on operational needs. This position requires you to live within driving distance of Anaheim, California. Required when working from home is a functional private workspace with high-speed internet.
Responsibilities:
- Provide operational support as experts at the Star View Station, a Disney Vacation Club Lounge, and on-site special events multiple times weekly as determined by the operation.
- Share information and options, while answering questions about Disney offerings, ensuring individual Member needs are met.
- Assist Members with their Memberships, managing their accounts, and other needs using appropriate systems, services, and products.
- Engage Members and ensure happiness by providing proper solutions to concerns with the ability to turn any situation into a positive one.
- Provide comprehensive vacation planning services to Members and inbound exchanges using numerous software applications.
- Book, modify, and cancel resort reservations, exchanges and other supplemental services.
- Adapt to offering new products, systems, and services.
- Meet required departmental metric expectations and uphold the 5 Keys of Safety, Courtesy, Inclusion, Show, and Efficiency.
- Complete all required Company trainings and compliance courses as assigned.
- May be required to handle cleaning chemicals and supplies.
Basic Qualifications:
- Confident working with technology, from setting up phone and computer, to troubleshooting any issue that may arise.
- Ability to friendly display clear and concise verbal and written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding with fellow peers and Guests.
- Experience within a Windows environment and able to simultaneously navigate between multiple applications, to meet the Members’ needs.
- One (1) year in hotel, travel, or national exchange company reservation experience.
- Flexible with work assignments and schedule, including overtime, weekends and holidays as well as working rotational positions outside.
- Prolonged standing for two to three hours at a time and occasional heavy lifting or pushing of up to 50 lbs. may be required.
- Receptive to Disney Look guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Here are the outstanding preferred skills we are looking for:
- Bilingual Spanish or Japanese
- Minimum one (1) year Guest Service or related experience
- Travel industry background
Additional Information:
The pay rate for this role in California is $20.00 to $22.00 per hour.
