What to Expect
At Tesla, our Used Vehicle Intake Specialists will be the front line of all cars coming into Tesla’s Used Vehicle Program. This role will be the Used Vehicle team’s on-the-ground eyes and be responsible for ensuring a true picture of the quality of the cars is capture prior to the car in-take. This position is responsible for ensuring all damage to incoming vehicles is accurately documented and an estimate for the repairs is generated. The position requires a significant amount of interaction with Customers, Technicians, Used Vehicle Quality Specialists, Acquisition Specialist, and other internal teams. The ideal candidate will not only possess a customer service mindset, but also the ability to provide a basic level of body repair estimating experience. With excellence being the passing grade, your ability to produce results and find ways to drive efficiency will directly influence and support Tesla’s mission. What You’ll Do
- Manage and schedule in-person lease-end inspections
- Perform a 360-degree walk-around of scheduled cars for evaluation
- Determine repair parts, time and labor required to complete vehicle repairs
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding the vehicle intake process
- Outbound calling to schedule in-person inspections
- Address any customer/ staff request with the highest level of response and attention
- Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
What You’ll Bring
- 3-4 years of body repair experience, or 1-2 years of auto damage appraisal experience
- 1-2 years of customer service experience
- Knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools and materials used in vehicle maintenance and repair
- Experience identifying after-market parts
- Intermediate computer skills, including navigating web browsers and using standard applications (Office 365)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to follow instructions
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
- Ability to travel to multiple work locations
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable and safe driving record
