To realize this goal, we gain a deep understanding of the education sectors we engage with—at all levels from strategic to tactical. We create a vision that inspires educators to transform their classrooms and campuses using Apple products. We collaborate closely with internal and external partners to create plans for solutions and new use cases, and then we help drive execution of the solution. As a US Education Strategic Initiatives Lead focused on Federal, you will develop and implement successful strategies for informing federal policy and practice that reflects and supports Apple’s sales efforts, priorities, and values in the US Education market. In this role, you will provide leadership, vision, and coordination to dramatically advance Apple’s sales, values, mission, and goals. This role requires up to 50% domestic travel.
Description
In this role, you will: – Develop, identify and enhance specific sales opportunities in the K-20 market for Apple Education products and solutions. – Advocate and inform leaders in the federal government around Apple Education’s priorities, values and competitive strengths; – Identify and catalyze partnerships with civic, education and government leaders at national/multi-state level to drive business development in alignment with Apple strategic priorities and values; – Interface, inform and coordinate with Apple’s Government Affairs team; – Drive actions and sales initiatives among legislative decision-makers and influencers in support of transformative digital programs that are at scale or have the potential to scale, – Create, identify and leverage federal funding streams to support efforts across the 50 states. – Build strategic relationships across a broad spectrum of decision-makers, elected officials and civic leaders. – Communicate Apple’s values and competitive advantages to create a sense of urgency among elected officials, policymakers and public sector leadership. – Curate technology pilots or large-scale initiatives; Modify existing funded technology initiatives in ways that help drive sales opportunity; Reallocate dollars from other budget areas to make digital innovation through technology a priority. – Provide information and consultation to Apple management and the field sales teams about federal technology funding opportunities and public policy trends. – Create and maintain a level playing field in support of Apple products and solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
- Significant leadership background in public policy, federal government, or related role.
- Proven track record in building coalitions to advance public policy initiatives.
- Deep understanding of the legislative and budget process and knowledge of how to work with a diverse network of stakeholders to support strategic priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the Apple ecosystem and/or strong technical acumen is a plus.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent collaboration and relationship building skills, including the ability to influence cross-functionally, navigate organizational structures, and manage complex relationships.
- Ability to think creatively, embrace diversity, work independently, and excel in a rapidly changing environment.
- Master’s degree or Law degree preferred.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $173,400 and $260,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
