About the Role & Program
Travel Agency Sales is a department grounded in communication and relationships. This team provides strategic and tactical sales support for Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney, National Geographic Expeditions, and Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa across various domestic travel trade channels! The mission of Travel Agency Sales is to fully leverage the Disney brand and support compelling marketing initiatives for the travel industry that motivate, educate, and inspire our clients and their guests to drive positive sales results!
The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 through June 2025.
What You Will Do
This role supports the Travel Agency Sales Team with business-to-business as well as business-to-business-to consumer programs. To be successful, candidates must be highly organized, detailed and have the ability to take the lead for select responsibilities.
In particular, the intern will:
- Provide communication support for various aspects of Travel Agency Sales, including supporting the EarMarked Program and Business Development Managers
- Ability to effectively partner with various team members within the Disney Destinations Organization to provide accurate and timely responses to Business Development Managers and key Travel Agencies
- Use product and process knowledge to successfully solve guest services issues
- Provide project management oversight and/or support for development of sales tactics
- Assist with development of presentations and other projects, as needed
- Potential opportunity to assist with On-Site Agent Education Programs and Training Events
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
- Proven strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Demonstrates ability to quickly learn and adapt to new online tools and systems
- Proficiency in a variety of software programs including Word, Excel, Power Point
Education
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- Senior or recent graduate pursuing a degree/major in marketing, business, communications, or related field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
- The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 through June 2025
- Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
- Able to work full time hours (approximately 40 per week) for the duration of the internship and have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session
