What to Expect

Tesla is an innovated fast paced company that is poised to fundamentally change and lead the automotive industry to reduce carbon emissions and producing the best automobiles ever made. We are building state of the art facilities with the newest equipment and hiring the most innovated and skilled people.

This is an Afternoon Shift opportunity the hours are Monday-Friday 3:15 PM-1:45 AM 

Build and tryout all forms of stamping dies, including Class A body sides, with little to no supervision. Traveling for home line support when necessary is a must.

What You’ll Do

• Promote and ensure safe working practices and a healthy work environment
• Promote and ensure Tesla policies are enforced
• Work with the engineering team to implement quality loops
• Promote teamwork
• Travel when necessary for extended periods of time
• Build and tryout all different forms of stamping tooling
• Troubleshoot problems and develop innovative solutions through team collaboration
• Work with engineering to achieve high quality parts (95% or better)
• Run production when necessary
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Communicate openly lineups between shifts
• Mentor, train and lead less experienced employees, including apprentices
• Be able to work on multiple dies at one time
• Any other duties that may be assigned by department manager
• Clear and explicit verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
• Remain positive and engaged while working on multiple projects
• Some experience with viewing 3D designs in Catia
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Journeyman Tool and Die Certificate or equivalent experience
• Able to lift at 25 lbs.
• Able to climb in and out of presses
• Able to stand for long periods of time
