System Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Maintain and resolve system issues.
• Maintain, Migrate, Support and Troubleshoot Operating System like Microsoft / UNIX / LINUX / Red Hat.
• Ability to write scripts in common administrative languages is beneficial (shell, perl, python etc).
• Establish TAC cases with principal vendor in complex problem till resolved. 

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 – 3 years of hands-on technical working experience in Microsoft / UNIX / LINUX / Red Hat.
• Working experience in handling preventive and corrective maintenance requests such as version upgrade, patch etc. 
• Experience in the areas of physical system and storage hardware, storage management software and storage networking including disaster recovery.
• Knowledge of registry, permissions, and drivers and software required.
• Understand basic WAN / LAN concepts and the TCP/IP protocol stack. 
• Working experience with VM virtualization, AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and Patch management.
• Working experience with physical server such as HPE Proliant, HPE Synergy, HPE blade Chassis and Dell Server. 
• Knowledge of SAN, ISCSI, NAS, DFS, SMB, NFS, SFTP and other backup and restore technology.
• Certifications such as Microsoft SCOM, SCCM, MCSE, VMWare, Linux, RedHat will be advantage.
• Good communication and writing skills. 
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Able to work flexible hours especially during after-office hour scheduled maintenance windows.
• Perform 24 x 7 standby duties, if required.
• Work location: Jurong East
• Singaporeans only.
