Job Summary:
The Senior Software Engineer will lead design and build infrastructure, tools, and services to support data-rich, real-time, and automation friendly real-time graphics systems. This position works closely with internal partners, to create tools, workflows, and processes that can be automated for wide-scale production across Product & Data Engineering and ESPN. This position will focus on tool development and strategy to lead engineering resources in roadmap and development of real-time graphics systems. This will require advanced experience of Unreal Engine blueprint scripting and Web Service software to build, test, and deploy custom software plugins and web services. This position expands capability to automate end-user game engine customization for PDE platforms.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
- Design, develop and debug software enhancements for game engine pipelines and features in Unreal Engine 5
- Work closely with other engineers to write libraries in C++, create UE4 Blueprints and build web services to enable designers to automate in-engine content at runtime
