Responsibilities
The Sr. Scoping Engineer performs scoping for original Order Of Magnitude (OOMs), OOM revisions and financial true-ups. The Sr. Scoping Engineer is a quality-minded individual who is able to communicate well at all levels of the telecom business.
Salary $70,000- $100,000, Depending on Experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Completing TRACKIO data and scoping notes to meet deadlines
- Review RFDS and monitor process flow. Ensure customer’s needs and requirements are met for SS014 meeting
- Create accurate Scope of Work based off of RFDS.
- Interface with customer’s scoping, SAQ, and RAN teams
- Actualize appropriate tasks in E2E Process
- Identifies and resolves with internal and external departments any issues with the RFDS
- Reviews new equipment releases and Customer standards to ensure scope it’s up to date
- Identifies materials that need to be escalated to PMO for contractual update with the Customer.
- Ability to travel for meetings with vendors, suppliers, service providers or off-site contractors as business dictates
Qualifications
Skills and Experience:
- Six years of experience in telecom industry, primarily in engineering and field installation
- Associate’s Degree or higher in electrical or electronics field of study
- Proficiency in interpretation of technical, engineering and scope of work documents
- Detailed knowledge of cell site construction practices and requirements
- Detailed knowledge of cell site layouts, e.g., compound, equipment, pads, Band To Wavelength (BTW)/Radio Base Station (RBS), Telco/power, microwave antennas, transmission lines, etc.
- Detailed knowledge of work involved in all initiatives including LTE, UMTS (multiple carriers), Site Modifications, NSB, ETTCS, FTTCS, and Overlays
- Familiar with major vendors used in cell site construction
- Proficiency with personal computers, Windows XP, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and other applications required to fulfill position responsibilities
- Experience with AT&T databases CASPR, NORAD and Siterra is desirable
- Quality minded individual who is able to communicate well at all levels of the telecom business
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve desired results
- Ability to manage and drive various resources to forecasted schedule
