Tripalink is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our Construction team.
We are seeking a motivated team player with a strong work ethic that offers exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills. The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for assisting the Project Manager with the planning and daily execution of construction projects and leveraging your experience to improve the delivery and outcomes for projects you own. The Senior Project Engineer should also be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain project schedule and proactively manage the project budget by owning approvals and deliveries, controlling expenses, and reviewing submittal data.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractor activity and requirements onsite, including deliveries, and compliance; serve as onsite quality manager for assigned trades
- Assist in the development of the site utilization plan and oversee owner-required documentation processes
- Adapt to change and facilitate updates and improvements by coordinating change proposal requests, evaluating, and improving processes, and ensuring changes are communicated effectively
- Contact appropriate vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing information
- Obtain scopes of work and quotations from subcontractors and vendors
- Perform scope and price reviews to ensure complete coverage of the work
- Review subcontractor and vendor quotes regarding scope, pricing, and schedule
- Analyze and negotiate subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, and subcontract/PO change orders.
- Prepare agenda, take notes, and disseminate subcontractor coordination meeting minutes.
- Review design drawings and specifications to identify potential issues
- Generate and process RFIs and submittals
- Develop and maintain the contract document logs (design drawings, specifications, ASI, etc.).
- Manage bid package addenda.
- Maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders and demonstrate your commitment to quality and to exceeding internal and external customer expectations
- Perform in accordance with all applicable company policies, state and federal laws and assist with the coordination of various quality and risk control programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Minimum two years of experience in Construction or related field.
- Entrepreneurial aptitude combined with a strong work ethic and the desire to learn.
- Ability to think critically and creatively, and execute sound judgment.
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
- Skill in both verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees while inspiring respect and credibility.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a complex operating environment.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow directions accurately.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft 365
- The position is in-person.
- This full-time position is exempt and requires the ability to be present and available during business hours to meet company and department needs.
- Able to work Monday – Friday , 7:30am – 3:30pm PST.
- One Saturday 7:30am – 3:30pm PST every month
- Additional hours or flexible schedule may be required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift or move up to 20 pounds. Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
- Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally
Compensation:
The estimated annual cash salary for this role is $75,000 – $85,000.
