We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Mechanical & Plumbing Manager to join our dynamic team. As a leading player in the industry, we are committed to delivering top-notch mechanical and plumbing solutions to our clients & their projects. **Role is remote but requires regular trips to jobsites to check progress, safety, quality, schedule conformance. **
Responsibilities:
1. Project Management: Lead and manage mechanical and plumbing projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
2. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of mechanical and plumbing professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project execution.
3. Construction Planning: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop comprehensive construction plans, including cost estimates, schedules, and resource allocation.
4. Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce strict quality control measures to ensure that all mechanical and plumbing systems meet industry standards and client expectations.
5. Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
6. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
7. Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise and guidance on mechanical and plumbing systems, troubleshooting issues as they arise and proposing innovative solutions.
8. Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing strategies to optimize financial performance.
9. Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and as-built drawings.
10. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing innovative strategies.
Qualifications:
1. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of successfully managing mechanical and plumbing projects in the manufacturing industry.
2. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems, with experience in mechanical project management and plumbing project management. Familiarity with plumbing construction and mechanical construction processes is essential.
3. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
5. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to think creatively to overcome challenges.
6. Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
7. Team Player: A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
