Imagine yourself as an Enterprise Reporting Senior Analyst where your natural passion for working with and delivering data solutions leads you to a team that enables data-driven HR strategy for the Walt Disney Company. In this role, you will support enterprise requests for HR data by extracting, compiling, and analyzing data from disparate sources to build comprehensive reports. Leveraging technical knowledge of HR systems and the tools used to explore its data, you’ll also be a key partner in providing consultative support to cross-functional teams with a focus on our legal clients, acting as subject matter expert regarding HR data.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Gather requirements related to data request, leading the intake session and asking the appropriate questions to get the full context
- Develop and build appropriate reporting leveraging the right tool for the job
- Data Collection and Integration
- Leverage various tools such as Cognos, Snowflake, or Workday to extract, transform, and integrate data from various sources
- Relationship Building
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization, including HR, Legal, finance, compliance, IT, and other enterprise-wide teams to build and enhance partnerships
- Build strong relationships with our stakeholders, particularly within the legal organization, to understand their reporting needs and requirements.
- Process Improvement
- Continuously identify opportunities to streamline reporting and analysis processes, building a more sustainable process to meet these requests
- Implement automation and optimization techniques to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Training and Support
- Provide support to stakeholders as subject matter expert on HR data
- Foster a data-driven culture within the organization
- Data Interpretation:
- Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with regulatory requirements by ensuring appropriate access controls, encryption, and data governance practices
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or related field
- Proven experience as a Reporting Analyst or similar role with a focus on HR reporting using report-building software such as IBM Cognos or Power BI
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation
- Ability to translate business issues and requirements into actionable plans
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Comfortable interpreting and translating complex data sets to stakeholders with varying levels of data analytics understanding.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in the legal industry or familiarity with legal terminology
- Experience with AI or machine learning concepts
- Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI or Cognos
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or R for data analysis
The hiring range for this position in California is $92,700.00 – $113,300.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
