The Software Engineer II will work closely with internal engineering teams in an agile environment to develop software which automates engineering processes and deliverables required to engineer, expand, and optimize an LTE-A and 5G NR wireless networks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible in developing software to automate wireless network engineering tasks for internal service delivery teams and customers.
- Responsible to collaborate with internal RF and Network Engineering teams to architect, design, and code engineering processes and desired outputs.
- Comprehend software requirements documentation and work with engineering teams on functionality.
- Debug, test, and evaluate software code, including results and feedback to engineering team.
- Operate and excel within an agile software development environment.
- Deliver multi-module, cross technology projects or products as required to support services roadmap.
- Excel in a multi-tasking and team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s/ master’s degree in computer science or software engineering required.
- Expert knowledge and skills in one of the following: o Perl, Python, Django or Java, Data Structures, Identity Management .NET/VB.Net ; ASP. Net MVC 5, Web API, REST, WCF, OOPS, Data structures o React Native, Ionic, jQuery Mobile, iOS and Android App Development
- Experience in SOAP / XML, JSON / REST is a must.
- Familiarity in JavaScript, AJAX, AngularJS and the web interface frameworks
- Knowledge and exposure to Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung Radio Network and OSS Domain
- Understanding of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence concepts.
- History of software development within mobile wireless or telecommunications domain
- Understanding of various eNodeB/gNodeB configurations and parameters a plus
- The ideal candidate will have worked for or supported development projects for companies such as: Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung, etc.
- Self-starter, mature professional
- Must be able to work the Integration Center in King of Prussia, PA
