Site/Civil Senior Project Manager – 4312

Description

STV is seeking a highly motivated Site/Civil Senior Project Manager for a position in our Philadelphia, PA office, with experience in site/civil design projects.  The candidate will work under the supervision of the branch manager with responsibility for providing civil/transit design for projects with minimal supervision.  Assignments may also include other aspects of Civil Engineering such as civil/highway projects, site design, drainage design, rail-transit, and design-build projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing design plans including horizontal and vertical alignment, drainage, grading, erosion/sediment control, storm water management, roads, utilities, i.e. water, sewer, storm drain and cross section for both transit and public sector clients.
• Coordinating design development and assisting with technical direction to other design staff.
• Coordinating with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget.
• Assisting with the development of specifications, cost estimates, reports and preparing final bid packages.
• Developing design plans, including construction staging/traffic control plans, signing & pavement marking plans.
• Establishing working relationships and interfacing with client technical staff and project managers.
• Assisting with the preparation of technical and cost proposals.
• Mentoring and provides technical guidance to less experienced engineering project team members.
• Attending project meetings with clients, sub-consultants, and the project team.
• Site feasibility evaluations and assessments, and constructability evaluation.
• Individual proficient in Hydrology, Storm water Management Software required.

 Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering 
• PA Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience preparing civil engineering documents associated with grading, erosion/sediment control, storm water management, roads, utilities, i.e. water, sewer, storm drain, and conduit for both public and private sector clients
• Experience in rail and transit facility design/engineering projects would be a plus
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience and proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required
• Familiarity with PA-BPT, PADOT, AREMA, FHWA and AASHTO design standards is a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong Hydrology, Hydraulics, and Grading experience
• Experience with multi-discipline infrastructure engineering design and construction projects
• Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner
