Short Order Cook

Location: Main Campus

Job Description:

• Grill, cook, fry, and otherwise prepare foods for customers using various kitchen cooking appliances
• Perform simple food preparation tasks, such as slicing meats, cheeses, vegetables
• Prepare customer food orders to their specifications
• Manage orders to ensure all items of an order are finished and served at the same time
• Plate prepared food and ensure appetizing presentation when served
• Assist to manage food inventory and proper food storage
• Work according to food and workplace safety guidelines at all times
• Clean kitchen cooking and storage areas in accordance with food safety code
• Must be dependable, well groomed, courteous, and work well in a team setting (especially during peak restaurant service times)**
• 1+ year similar experience strongly desired
