Senior Technician (Machinist)

Incumbent will have to operate 5 Axis CNC Milling machine on composite materials

Job Description

• Create accurate CNC programs for Aerospace components/parts
• Generate (on ICAM software) an optimal recipe for UHF system to vacuum the part firmly for machining
• Simulate (on ICAM software) the Virtual Machine feature for possible collision/gouges
• Set raw materials onto the machine
• Load the CNC & UHF programs into the machine
• Read & interpret route cards, setup sheets, technical blueprints & design models
• Set and calibrate accessories & equipment
• Choose & load the correct cutting tools for the job
• Monitor the machine as it runs & make adjustments or troubleshoot as needed
• Keep detailed records for equipment & procedures
• Perform necessary maintenance & cleaning on equipment 
• Inspect finished product to ensure it meets required specifications
• Train new staff on machine operation procedures
• Diligently clock the SAP man hours
• Work safely & comply with all the safety work procedures & practices

Job Requirements

• Professional Certificate / NITEC / Higher NITEC/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Preferably have experience with CNC 3/5 Axis Milling machine 
• Preferably have experience in UG NX 7.5 / 8.5 / 10 / 11  programming
• Added advantage if familiar with ICAM software (Virtual simulation & UHF)
• Able to work OT or shift work when required
• Strong attention to details

• Proactive & keen interest to learn
• Work location: North (nearest MRT: Yishun/Bukit Panjang)
