We are seeking a new colleague within the Retiree Market Sales Support (RMSS) team. This position is a key driver of additional Medicare Group Retiree growth opportunities as we partner with Sales, Underwriting, Product, Marketing and Commercial business partners in responding to new proposal requests. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of RFP, RFR and / or RFI responses for complex proposals, questionnaires and surveys. The position requires a hands-on approach to resolving proposal issues through project management, research, data gathering and analysis. The position requires a high degree of attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment. This role sits within a nimble team of professionals with a proven ability to meet aggressive turnaround times and manage multiple projects in tandem.
The Senior Proposal Analyst is responsible for:
- Developing customer-focused, strategically positioned proposal responses for the Medicare Group Retiree business
- Applying in-depth knowledge of the Proposal field to offer feedback for decisions and innovation strategies that enhance organizational growth
- Gathering information from relevant systems to complete increasingly challenging requests for proposals including financials, network and access data, product and benefit solutions, STARs and clinical information and sample materials
- Customizing questionnaire responses based on case-specific quote strategies and customer priorities
- Conducting thorough research to create questionnaire responses where a standard response does not exist
- Writing and editing in accordance with company brand standards, plain language and internal style guide standards while applying research and data gathering skills
- Interpreting and understanding the needs of the customer
- Collaborating with other team members to create a compelling, well-articulated value proposition that aligns Aetna’s products and programs with the customer’s strategy
- Utilizing the proposal database and established department workflows to respond to questionnaires or ad hoc proposal requests
- Project management accountability ensuring the quality and timeliness of publishes responses
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with our field organization and subject matter experts
- Applying the principles of grammar, mechanics and spelling in written work
- Assisting with the development and implementation of results-based programs and innovative initiatives for the RMSS area, under general supervision
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience with writing and managing proposals or project management
- 3-5 years General understanding or experience with the healthcare industry, health insurance and / or Medicare
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (e.g.; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Must be organized and efficient, detail-oriented and able to multi-task
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and negotiate across the business
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Loopio or other procurement tools
Education
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is: $60,522.80 – $129,600.00.
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
