Job Overview
We are currently seeking qualified candidates for consideration to fill an open Senior Project Manager position in our Civil Division.
The Senior Project Manager is required to coordinate a multi-disciplined team and oversee junior project managers, project coordinators, scheduling, cost analysts, and other functions within our clients’ project management team(s). The goal of this Senior Project Manager is to deliver large capital projects to our client base on schedule, on budget, and in compliance with their Safety and Quality goals. Types of projects could include but are not limited to – natural gas distribution, transmission, compressed natural gas, liquified natural gas, renewable natural gas, and other gas projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide effective leadership within a matrix organization.
- Initiating, Planning, Executing, and Closing projects – defining project WBS, cost baseline and OBS structure, initiating the project, building its comprehensive work plan, controlling and managing the risks, scope, schedule, and budget.
- Managing Teams – facilitating commitment and productivity, removing obstacles, and managing teams
- Implementation and Management of Quality and Environmental Process and procedures on all projects focusing on meeting SPI and CPI performance indicators less than 1.0.
- Management of third-party projects including other transmission Customers and interconnecting customers.
- Accountable and Responsible for Cost / Budgeting and Management, Communication Management, Change Management, Schedule Management, Construction Management oversight, commissioning management oversight, risk management, as well as regulatory and stakeholder management.
- Responsible for the execution and successful completion of the project/program. This role will be main point of contact between contractors and the client on all project matter. This Senior Project Manager shall be responsible for monitoring and measuring project performance throughout the project and resolving any contract disputes relative to cost, scope, and schedule.
- Interface with Engineering, Operations, third party contractors and consultants, and all other stakeholders and build strong working relationships with all parties.
- Oversee assistant project managers, project managers, schedulers, cost analysts and other staff to support your project work and act as a mentor.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in large scale projects serving in a Program / Project Management role for a utility business.
- Any experience in LNG / CNG/ RNG / Hydrogen is highly desirable but not required.
- Must have at least 3 years of experience with large projects
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Professional Engineer License required.
- Project Management Professional or Program Management Professional certification required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
- Advanced proficiency with Word and Excel
- Experience with scheduling tools like Primavera and/or Microsoft Project
- SAP experience is preferred but not required.
- The ability to work well in a team setting and/or independently is required.
- Flexibility in task assignments and ability to reprioritize tasks quickly.
- Organized, detail oriented, and thorough.
Salary Range: $55 – $67.50 per hour
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location.
