Job Summary:
The Disney Experiences Technology & Digital team builds world-class immersive digital experiences for premier vacation brands such as the Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World, Shanghai Disney Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani and more. DPEP Tech & Digital has offices in Anaheim, Glendale, Hong Kong, Orlando, Paris, Seattle and Shanghai, where we develop websites and mobile applications that enhance the Guest experience.
Based in Orlando, FL and reporting to the Manager, Digital Product Manager, the Sr. Product Manager will be part of the Disney Experiences Technology & Digital Product team focused on Cast-facing digital tools. This position will lead the product development associated with net new functionality within multiple applications within the portfolio across DLP, DLR, DSE, HKDL, and WDW.
Additionally, this position will be responsible for ongoing product management and continuous improvement of the applications within their purview, including the development and review of key performance metrics, driving the roadmap of product enhancements, and ensuring the application growth strategy is aligned with long-term organizational strategic goals.
The Sr. Product Manager will be an active partner with multiple critical stakeholders, including business and operations teams, UX design, Project Management and engineering teams, in order to ensure on-time, on-budget, and on-scope delivery.
Responsibilities
- Leads the product vision strategy and roadmap throughout the end-to-end product lifecycle.
- Leads the product development effort for net new capabilities and applications supporting the Cast Member experience.
- Maintains strategic roadmaps for product enhancements in support of broader strategic organizational goals, with a specific focus on digital capabilities Cast Members will leverage to support Guest Itinerary planning.
- Gathers, documents and champions requirements needed to ensure new product features accomplish key objectives and meet or exceed business needs.
- Supports the agile development process by serving as a Product owner in daily syncs and planning meetings.
- Assesses and prioritizes scope on an ongoing basis to ensure successful delivery of the highest value capabilities.
- Supports new feature launches by closely partnering with business, operations and support teams.
- Facilitates the continuous improvement process, through ongoing active collection of diverse end-user feedback and key business metrics to drive the roadmap for existing and new applications.
- Supports the creation and maintenance of application documentation to be leveraged both internally and with external partners.
- Champions development efforts within cross-functional teams.
- Leads discussions around future product strategy planning, in partnership with leadership.
- Performs application release validations, including occasional support during overnight release windows.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of related work experience
- Experience working on solutions for technical, user, and business issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to communicate, influence, and present at an executive level.
- Proven analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
- Proven ability to collaborate with and achieve actionable results through partnerships with others, while building strong and sustainable relationships.
- Ability to think strategically and drive ideas into action, with a willingness to take personal initiative.
- Ability to work with bi-coastal and/or international teams across multiple time zones.
- Effectively provide overall product leadership across multiple teams, while working collaboratively to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a front-line Guest Service and/or Cast Leadership role
- Experience working with mobile employee-facing applications
- Familiarity with Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and/or Disneyland Paris operations
- Experience supporting web & iOS development teams
- Experience supporting custom hardware integrations, such as ancillary Payment Devices and RF scanning sleds
Preferred Education
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience
