Responsibilities
- Leadership for ICA engineering team to comply with project requirements and meet project schedules
- Lead and prepare overall concept for Distributed Control System (DCS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Power Management System (PMS), etc.
- Lead and prepare Request for Quotations (RFQs) and review specifications for DCS, SCADA, PMS, EMIS, Instrumentations and etc which are Instrumentation-Control-Automation (ICA) related items
- Review technical proposals from OEMs to ensure compliance to our design requirement
- Lead and prepare and review control system architecture, Functional Description (FD), Process Control Narrative (PCN), Interlock Diagram based on Process Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Review Instrumentation list, IO List, Instrument datasheet and etc based on P&ID
- Review ICA cable routing and BOQ, leading engineers and drafters
- Involve in the engineering design of the following activities:
- Lead/Prepare layout drawings of instrumentation and ICA equipment.
- Lead integration and design reviews with Customer and OEMs.
- Review document/drawings from OEM/subcontractor’s design to ensure all project specifications and design standards are met
- Review and ensure all interfaces and signal mapping between DCS/SCADA and the instruments and other equipment such as control valves, electrical systems, HVAC, Pumps are established and agreed
- Review instrument hook-ups to ensure tie-in point with pipes and tanks are correct
- Review cable and termination diagrams for production/subcontractors.
- Approval of ICA related design document
- Review Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) procedures from OEM and participate in FAT with customers to ensure system functionality as per design requirement before delivery to site
Requirements
- At least 15 years of relevant experience as Lead or Senior ICA Engineer in EPC project for Power, Petrochemical and/or Waste-to-Energy plants
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Automation Engineering or equivalent
- Strong EPC background
- Strong leadership for people management
- Familiar with industrial standard for control system and instrumentation
- Familiar with SIL and Safety Controller
- Able to work in collaboration with various disciplines
- Able to interface seamlessly with engineering, construction, and operations contractors
- Able to work in on-site construction environment
