Key Job Accountabilities
- Assisting / Advising the Accountable Manager on all quality matters including company policies, and the defining and reviewing of quality goals and objectives.
- Ensuring all relevant works meet the airworthiness, customers, and this Organization’s requirements.
- Ensuring applicable airworthiness standards are achieved.
- Ensuring efficient and effective management of the Quality Department including Technical Records Office, Technical Training Section and Technical Library.
- Communicating with airworthiness authorities and customers on all relevant matters.
- Investigating accidents, incidents, and major non-conformances, and ensuring the appropriate corrective actions are taken.
- Developing quality procedures and policies to comply with the relevant airworthiness authorities and/or customer’s requirements.
- Monitoring and controlling of the Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE) and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Maintaining and managing quality audit programmes.
- Ensuring all inspections are properly performed on completed work and the inspection records, reports and forms are properly executed, prior to releasing the aircraft or aircraft components for return to service. k.
- Controlling and approving sub-contractors / vendors.
- Submitting reports on defects or unairworthy conditions, in accordance with the relevant regulatory requirements.
- Any other tasks and assignments by Quality & Safety HOD
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of aviation experience in an MRO environment, preferably in a supervisory position in Q&S Department (Civil) or Depot Operations Department.
- Holder of an aircraft maintenance engineer’s license acceptable to the DGCA or an otherwise equivalent qualification acceptable to the DGCA.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality assurance in related aviation environment.
- At least 6 months of experience as a Lead Auditor or equivalent auditing function.
- Experience in conducting aircraft incident / accident investigation.
- Preferably to have a relevant degree or diploma in a relevant discipline, preferably with aircraft maintenance license.
- Passed the CAAS Air Legislation Examination Paper M10.
- Proficient in all the relevant Singapore Airworthiness Regulations, Air Navigation Order and AOCR.
- Knowledge of SAR, CASA, FAR and other authorities’ regulations/requirements.
- Human Factors Training preferred
- Lead Auditor Course preferred.
- Proficient in basic computer skills.
- Able to write / communicate in English.
- Conversant with Airworthiness Requirements, company’s standard operating procedures and policies.
- A working knowledge of material processing/stores, technical record procedures and technical publications management.
