This team is responsible for electrical engineering including design, analysis, calculations and specifications for low and medium voltage power distribution systems; emergency power, generators and UPS standby systems; lighting systems and controls; fire alarm systems; communication systems; and HVAC controls!
You Will
- Prepare designs and analysis in support of construction contract document production
- Ensure technical quality and conformance to department standards and procedures
- With minimal supervision, responsible for electrical engineering design, analysis, calculations and specifications for multiple attractions of medium complexity
- Organize and develop project design criteria and engineering work plans for projects of varying complexity
- Become completely familiar with and be able to edit electrical sections of WDI master specifications
- Take responsibility for obtaining building department approvals when required
- Answer construction bid period questions and respond to and resolve field issues and questions
- Provide technical direction to in-house engineers and designers, and to outside consultants in the production of construction contract documents
- May lead a small team of electrical engineers and designers in the production of construction documents for multiple attractions of medium complexity through all phases of design
- May direct US-based consultants to whom design is outsourced for WDI projects world-wide
- May have Engineer of Record responsibility
You Will Have
- Professional registration in Electrical Engineering
- Graduate of an accredited engineering school with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
- Working knowledge of electrical engineering, including current technologies and codes
- 6 or more years of work experience in electrical engineering
- A minimum of 2 years managing a team of electrical engineers and designers in the production of contract documents for construction
- Construction phase experience including the submittal/shop drawing review process and on-site field inspections
- General knowledge of the electrical engineering discipline, including industry practices, construction methods and materials, codes, current technology and the preparation and use of contract documents in all phases of design and construction
- Knowledge of the use of 3D CAD technology and analytical software for electrical engineering design, short circuit, circuit breaker coordination, and arc-flash hazard analysis
- Knowledge of electrical load and energy calculations and basic electrical engineering calculations
Preferred Qualifications
- An advanced degree in the electrical engineering field
- 10 or more years of relevant work experience
