Summary: Serves as the technical resource in the strategic oversight and design of data models and database structural design and development. Provides technical, strategic advice and guidance in the creation and implementation of new data standards and database designs.
Key Responsibilities: “To simplify complexities for each customer.”
- Provide vision and leadership to define the core technologies necessary to meet business needs including: development tools and methodologies, package solutions, systems architecture, security techniques, and emerging technologies.
- Set the strategy for moving Data Architecture CMMI level
- Develop, maintain and evangelize data architecture guiding principles, policies, best practices, reference architecture and standards
- Collaborate in the building and maintaining of an enterprise data model
- Coordinate the training and communication of data architecture across the company
- Lead MDM strategy and architecture
- Lead RDM strategy and architecture
- Lead Meta Data strategy and architecture
- Work with business to develop conceptual data model
- Experience working as a member of distributed data architecture teams. Identify business opportunities for applying leading and emerging data technologies at Healthesystems
Qualifications/Education/Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university (in Information Technology or Computer Science preferred), plus 8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- A minimum of 8 years of Data architecture experience and preferably 2 or more years in the Information Architecture domain
- Preferred healthcare industry (payer and/or provider) experience
- Conceptual and logical modeling experience with Erwin or similar tools required.
- Advanced understanding of RDBMS principles, database design and normalization
- Ability to comprehend advanced technical and logical concepts and adapt quickly to change
- Ability to evaluate and make recommendations regarding data integrity
- Ability to effectively diagnose, isolate, and resolve advanced problems pertaining to data infrastructure
- Understanding of designing databases for performance including index design
- Experience architecting and designing all types of data stores such as application databases, ODS, EDW, and Datamart, etc.
- Complex data integration experience in the context of EDW
- Experience with enterprise information strategy development and execution
- Designing Logical and Distributed data warehouses
- Demonstrated experience establishing standards for modeling, structuring, naming, describing, securing and formatting data
- Ability to comprehend complex software systems at an abstract level
- Proficient with ER and Dimensional modeling techniques
- Exposure with ETL technologies such as SSIS, Informatica, etc.,
- Proficient with BI tools like Power BI, SSRS
- Attention to detail and maintaining high quality standards is a must
- Demonstrates initiative and works independently with minimal supervision
- Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are required
- Strong interpersonal skills – must be able to work effectively as part of a project team and foster team co-operation
- Preferred but not required: Knowledge on advanced technology concepts like Big Data, Hadoop, Hive, Cloud, etc
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
Duties are performed primarily in a home office setting utilizing computer equipment. Travel to attend meetings and visit locations throughout the country may be required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographical cost of labor, etc. In addition to base pay, Healthesystems offers a comprehensive benefits package including, health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, wellness resources, recognition programs, 401k contribution, and PTO & Holiday pay (all subject to eligibility requirements). Anticipated Starting Pay Range
$112,200—$154,300 USD
