Senior / Cloud Network Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, manage, and maintain the network infrastructure for cloud-based systems.
• Ensuring that the cloud network is highly available, secure, and efficient.
• Creating diagrams, selecting appropriate technologies, and collaborating with other members of the team.
• Configuring and maintaining network devices: You will need to configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN gateways. You will need to ensure that these devices are working efficiently and that any issues are resolved promptly.
• Monitoring network performance: You will need to monitor the performance of the cloud network and identify any potential issues. This may involve setting up monitoring tools and alerts, analyzing network traffic, and working with other teams to troubleshoot issues.
• Implementing security measures: You will be responsible for ensuring that the cloud network is secure. This may involve implementing security measures such as firewalls, access controls, and intrusion detection and prevention systems.
• Collaborating with other teams: You will need to work closely with other members of the team, including developers, system administrators, and security analysts. You will need to collaborate with these teams to ensure that the cloud network is working effectively and that any issues are resolved quickly.
• Regularly review existing services and keeping up to date with industry trends and new cloud offerings, to prepare proposals and recommendations for enhancements and new capabilities. This may involve attending conferences, participating in training programs, and researching new technologies.

Requirements:

• Degree in IT with proven technical knowledge and expertise.
• 5 years of design/implementation experience with networks, servers, cloud services
• Any AWS / Azure / GCP/ CCNA or equivalent certification and knowledge will be advantageous.
• Proficiency in Linux and Linux-based networking appliances
• Proficiency in Palo Alto networking appliances
• Ability to conduct research into cloud networking solutions, connectivity requirements, cloud-to-cloud and cloud-to-on premise
• Resourceful, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a high-functioning team as well as independently
• Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to providing support
• Strong troubleshooting and deduction skills
• Strong communication and documentation skills
