- JOB PURPOSE
Woodlands Health (WH) envisions personalised and quality healthcare for the community of the future. It will co-develop and integrate services with community stakeholders and extend care beyond the hospital into the community and homes.
To work with the Cardiology Informatics Team, the general duties and responsibilities of the Cardiology Systems Officer includes daily administration and management of the Cardiology Information System (CIS), Picture Archival and Communication Systems (PACS), Electrocardiograph (ECG) Management System, Telemetry System and relevant components such as modules, applications, systems that are integrated to CIS, PACS and ECG Management System, ensuring that all are working to specifications, user requirements and satisfaction.
- MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific (Operations) – Before Go-Live
- Conduct system/component training for CIS-PACS, ECG Management System, and Telemetry System.
- Involved in user testing during project implementation and site verification on modalities integration in both staging and production environment.
- Maintain proper asset inventory, documentation, workflow mapping and processes on Cardiology IT systems and other systems used by Cardiology.
- Coordinate with IT department and vendor on setting up imaging modalities integration with Cardiology IT systems, perform troubleshooting on issues and provide appropriate feedback.
Specific (Operations) – After Go-Live
- Support daily operations of PACS systems relevant to Cardiology operational needs such as managing order, image flows, routing, pre-fetching, correcting broken studies, editing patient demographics/exams, orders and results reconciliation.
- Document and communicate specific issues identified with clinical users with respect to service issues, updates, progress and resolution.
- Troubleshoot basic Cardiology CIS-PACS, ECG Management System, Telemetry System and Cardiology-specific Electronic Medical Records, Billing System, Communication System issues, escalating to the relevant parties/vendors when applicable.
- Provide daily administration of CIS modules, PACS application, ECG Management System and Telemetry System, maintaining system integrity, through daily health checks of the system.
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly routine maintenance procedures and report generation as required.
- Support and execute Business Continuity Procedures during system downtime and subsequent reconciliation efforts.
- Work with IT department, vendors and end-user groups to communicate request for moves, additions and changes to the systems.
- Provide Level 1 support (basic maintenance) to Cardiology workstations/modalities, application administration and perform tests on vendor recommended changes to Cardiology IT systems.
- Maintain proper asset inventory, documentation, workflow mapping and processes on Cardiology IT systems and other systems used by Cardiology.
- Analyse and monitor imaging clinical system performance and user processes, recommend changes to improve and optimise the imaging system workflows.
- Coordinate with IT department on IT requests/projects/initiative relating to Cardiology.
- Coordinate with IT department and perform troubleshooting on Cardiology IT systems and assist to resolve relevant IT hardware issues.
- Coordinate and work with IT department to ensure data security and proper compliance to security framework and processes are followed.
General
- General book-keeping of CIS-PACS, ECG Management System and Telemetry System issues.
- Liaise closely and execute Project tasks with IT team, vendors and end-user groups during Project start up, setup, implementation, training, system upgrades and on-going support.
- Support Cardiology User in relevant group meetings in general secretariat, coordination, technical setup.
- Support IT projects within Department of Cardiology.
- Perform ad-hoc data mining and housekeeping from Cardiology IT Systems.
- Any other duties assigned by reporting officer or Cardiology leads.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education / Training / Experience
- Degree holder, preferably in Information Technology or Computer Science or Cybersecurity. Diploma holder with many years of experiences will be considered as well.
- Relevant experience in Cardiology Department and/or healthcare environment is advantageous.
- At least 0-2 years of related work experience or knowledge with Informatics Systems, servers, networks for Cardiac Systems Specialist
- At least 4 years of related work experience or knowledge with Informatics Systems, servers, networks for Senior Cardiac Systems Specialist
