Senior Accountant

Work Location(s): San Dimas, CA, US

ADP is hiring a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant is Competent to work on complex accounting activities which includes preparing and reviewing internal analyses and researching and resolving day to day problems related to general ledger items. Analyzes various P-L accounts and provides and results to managers. Handles various accounting projects as needed. Regularly provides guidance and training to less experienced Accountants.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for accounting activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger and the resultant managerial reports and financial statements.
• Classifies, examines and analyzes accounting records and prepares related financial reports and statements.
• Prepares standard and specialized financial reports (e.g. balance sheets, income statements, monthly closing reports) according to Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP) or other regulatory requirements.
• Complies and analyzes financial information to prepare entries into accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and documents business transactions.
• Establishes, maintains and coordinates the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required or equivalent in education and experience
• 5-8 years general accounting experience with a proven proficiency in performing complex accounting activities
• Must have experience in providing direction and training lower level Accountants

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

• Expert knowledge of Excel required.
