Join CVS’s DIGITAL Data & Analytics team to simplify and enhance the Pharmacy experiences through our digital products. We are seeking a driven contributor with a future-forward, player-coach mindset and expertise in data ETL processes. As a key member of the team, you will lead the strategy and foundation building for data ingestion strategies, leveraging your deep understanding of data platforms and proven experience with large-scale, high-profile projects. Your role will be instrumental in building the future foundation of CVS’s database/Data Lakes as we implement new digital systems, ensuring seamless and personalized experiences for our millions of daily users nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Proficient in designing and implementing OLTP, OLAP, Snowflake, or Star schema modeling solutions.
- Experienced in developing and maintaining robust ETL pipelines using tools like Informatica, StreamSets, Snowflake, Data proc, and Data fusion.
- Provides expertise in optimizing and enhancing ETL processes for improved performance, reliability, and scalability, while troubleshooting complex issues and offering valuable guidance to junior developers for their professional growth
- Strong knowledge of databases including Oracle, Teradata, MySQL, SQL, Postgres, and BigQuery.
- Proficient in NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB, BigTable, and Hadoop.
- Skilled in writing Unix scripts and using deployment tools like Jenkins and Atlassian product suites.
- Strong understanding of Google Cloud services, data science tools, and ML concepts.
- Proficient in No-SQL Databases, like Cassandra, Mongo DB, Big Table, Cloud storage and data lakes and Hadoop.
- Proficient in writing Unix scripts and scheduling mechanism, deployment tools, Jenkins CI/CD and Atlassian product suites, git, confluence, Jira.
- Leading the design and development of AI-driven applications, algorithms, and models.
- Collaborating with data scientists and domain experts to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Evaluates, selects, and implements AI techniques, designs robust systems for large-scale data processing, and stays updated on industry trends and best practices in AI development.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ Years of experience in various databases like Oracle, Teradata, MYSQL, SQL and Postgres, Big Query
- 5+ Years of experience in ETL process/products like Informatica, Streamsset etc
- 2+ Years of experience in the ML concepts like supervised, unsupervised, and reinforced technique
- 2+ Years of experience in Data science tools, like NumPy, pandas, matplotlib, seaborn, TensorFlow etc
- 2+ Years of cloud experience and preferable GCP including compute, storage, networking, and security
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in deploying ML models in production environments, including containerization, and serving frameworks (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Preferred qualifications include being a Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) and/or an AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
- Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Experience in computer vision, speech recognition, or reinforcement learning, along with familiarity in transfer learning and domain adaptation techniques.
- Proficiency in handling large-scale datasets, implementing distributed training strategies, and integrating low-code/no-code solutions with custom code and external systems through APIs and connectors.
- Experience in time series analysis, forecasting using ML techniques, and reinforcement learning algorithms.
- Solid understanding of reinforcement Machine learning algorithms and their applications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience).

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is: $124,372.50 – $247,200.00.
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
