We are looking for a Retail Creative Graphic Design Intern to support the Retail Creative Team. This position will report to the Retail Creative Manager. Our team supports visual elements for all Domestic Retail Locations. Our umbrella includes Walt Disney World parks and resort hotels, Disney Springs, Disneyland parks, resorts, etc.
What You Will Do
- Support the Retail Creative Team in the design, production, and implementation of storewide graphic packages to support over 300 retail locations as part of Disney Experiences
- Build environmental graphics to support new film and product strategies while adhering to established brand standards
- Support the team in implementing site-specific and global graphic packages
- Coordinate fabrication of 2D or layered graphics with vendors in a timely manner while adhering to specifications and maintaining a high standard of quality
- Support the Global Retail Sign Program with updates as needed
- Responsible for preparing mechanical files, printing, and fabrication of designs
- Coordinate and support the production and installation of Retail Creative park initiatives
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge in composition, hierarchy, and color theory as well as a clear understanding of typography and layout
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Must be comfortable in a hands-on production environment with a high attention to detail
- Proven organizational and time management skills, and proven ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects with short deadlines
- Ability to articulate conceptual and design decisions, and ability to give and receive feedback on a regular basis
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of graphic design experience (Senior – Recent grad preferred)
- Experience working in a graphic production environment
- Familiarity with project management software
- Previous knowledge of and desire to learn new software as needed to further support the needs of the organization (i.e. motion graphics, 3D modeling, etc.)
Education
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- Undergraduate or recent graduate (within 6 months of your graduation date) pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Art and Design, or other related fields

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
- Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information

- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
- This internship is a primarily on-site position and requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace
- The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 through June 2025
- Must be able to work FULL TIME hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship with ability to work early mornings and/or late nights as needed
- Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Orlando, FL area
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
