Resident Physician (Occupational Medicine Clinic)

Job Description :

The position of a Resident Physician in the Occupational Medicine Clinic entails provision of comprehensive patient care under the supervision of Occupational Medicine Specialist doctors. You are a key member of the team, where you will gain strong clinical experience as well as we maximize your potential. You will work alongside nursing, allied health and pharmacist colleagues in a team-based environment to provide holistic patient care. In addition to your core clinical duties, you will also be provided mentorship and support to develop any interests in Education, Research and Health Administration. You will also take on any other responsibilities assigned by your reporting officer.

You may be considered for either one of the work arrangement:

For full-time position

You will contribute 2 sessions per week (1 day) in the Occupational Medicine Clinic and the remaining 8 sessions (4 days) per week in the inpatient department (example Geriatric Medicine). You will be responsible for the pre-employment medical review of potential WH staff. This includes a review of their medical and work history as well as an assessment of their fitness to work in the job that they have applied for. Potential staff with pre-existing medical conditions will need to be assessed and given the necessary medical excuses to ensure their health and safety. As necessary, you will also help manage staff with work-related diseases and injuries who are referred to the clinic.

For part-time position

We also have a part-time position at 2 sessions per week (1 day) in the Occupational Medicine Clinic. Your work schedule will be on either Tuesday or Friday as arranged by the Head of Department.

Requirements

•             MBBS or equivalent with at least 3 years’ experiences as Medical Officer;

•             Those with relevant postgraduate qualification such as GDOM will have an advantage;

•             Be in active clinical practice in the past 3 years;

•             Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and strong adaptability to changes;

•             Strong command of spoken and written English;

•             Possesses Full registration with Singapore Medical Council
