The Opportunity
We are seeking a Research Fellow, who will be the key player in CHI’s game-changing mission in tomorrow’s healthcare. You will be an integral member of the team spear heading one of the Ng Teng Feng (NTF) Healthcare Innovation Programme (HIP) Strategic Research Programmes (SRP) – Personalised Cardiometabolic Risk Management: Predict to Prevent (P2P) which aims to perform patient-centred early risk characterisation; develop effective and efficient methods to measure the status of vascular health; and optimise therapeutic strategies to prevent disease and maintain vascular health.
The Research Fellow will provide assistance to the Programme Director and Thrust Leaders to ensure successful implementation of the plans and activates conducted under the Ng Teng Feng (NTF) Healthcare Innovation Programme (HIP) Strategic Research Programme (SRP).
The role involves the following:
- Work with research teams to conceptualise novel research ideas and develop research proposals leading to internal, national and internal grant applications.
- Design, lead and conduct translational research project in a transdisciplinary, interprofessional learning ecosystem.
- Design and conduct research training to build capacity (seminars, workshops, webinars, e-learning) and mentor junior researchers, research assistants and clinical research coordinators.
- Provide support for research protocol development and research administration including ethics approval and budgeting.
- Conduct literature review, systematic review and meta-analysis and perform data analysis (statistical analyses and qualitative data analyses).
- Disseminate research findings through writing research papers and reports, presenting research findings, publishing in peer-reviewed journals and media.
- Build academic networks and collaborations with researchers, clinicians and other stakeholders within and outside the institution, within and outside Singapore.
Requirements
EDUCATION
Master and/or PhD in public health, social sciences, or other relevant disciplines
PREREQUISITES
- Minimum 2 years of experience is preferred.
- Experience in mixed methods analysis (use of qualitative approaches including interviews /focus group discussions) , patient and provider satisfaction assessments.
- Proficient with the use of qualitative software and common quantitative analysis software and methods.
- Possess a track record of co-authorship of peer-reviewed publications.
- Excellent in spoken and written English.
- Proficient in research data management and analysis tools such as SPSS, Stata and/or R.
- Strong writing and critical thinking skills, as well as good organisational, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to perform systematic reviews and/or meta-analysis would be an added advantage.
