What to Expect
The Regional Parts Manager is responsible for leading their team to ensure all parts operations and parts are available for their service teams. Additionally, Regional Parts Managers perform onsite audits to ensure accuracy within Tesla Motors’ proprietary service center management system and its users. This position will require traveling to each service center within the designated region. The Regional Parts Manager is responsible for ensuring all supply chain-related activities within their coverage area are working efficiently and as-intended. This includes fast and predictable parts flow from distribution centers as well as accurate parts orders and high inventory accuracy from the field.
What You’ll Do
- Regional leader for a team of 5-15 Parts Advisors at 5-10 locations in their region
- Driving the implementation of new initiatives and ensuring the team constantly works towards achieving the standards agreed with management and business partners
- Role of system training provider and information multiplicator in their own region
- Training new PAs in the role (responsibility shared together with other experienced PAs)
- Evaluating PA job performance and general behavior, and coaching PAs towards personal and professional development, identifying talent for promotions
- First level of escalation for problems that impede the PAs to achieve the overarching goal of serving the Service Organization on a day-to-day basis
- Tactical response person for situations where a PA/Location is temporarily challenged
- Oversee the sharing system and fulfillment of parts within the region
- Monitor trends related to workshop load and fulfillment performance within the region
- Perform periodic evaluations, suggest recommendations, and follow up on all topics related to the Parts Excellence Program
- Manage all Parts Escalations and drive resolution for vehicles in Parts Hold
- Be a liaison to IT/Material/Demand/Channel Planning for troubleshooting issues and in providing field feedback, including for systems and workflow improvements
- Be a trusted partner for Service Managers, General and Regional Service Leaders

- Demonstrated excellent communication skills, including ability to express well-reasoned, independent thought. Natural ability to speak and write effectively at all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to be a resilient change agent capable of leading organization through paradigm shifts.
- Strong multitasking project skills with the ability to adapt to change in scope, timeline, or focus without sacrificing execution
- Flexible to travel up to 5 days per week within own region, and up to twice a month to locations outside of the Region (other regions, territorial central location, HQ Fremont)
- Ideally 5 years of work experience in the automotive service sector (any other related and relevant experiences will be considered towards this requirement)
- Ideally 2 years with Tesla in Service Parts or Supply Chain (or external experience as Parts Shop Manager or Supply Chain Manager; preferably with people management)

Expected Compensation
$68,000 – $210,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
