Job Summary:
At Disney Television Animation (DTVA), we are looking for a Recruiter with a dedication to identifying skilled creatives to support the dynamic, animated content being brought to life across the studio with a special focus on story, design, and animation!
In this role, you will act as a consultant to hiring managers while ensuring a high-quality candidate experience. You will also represent DTVA at both internal and external events while establishing long-lasting connections and building DTVA’s talent pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for full-cycle recruitment of talent, with a focus on Story, Design and Animation for all DTVA projects in current series and development
- Collaborate with Artist Management, Production Management and Creative Leaders to develop recruitment strategies for open positions and future positions
- Guide interview techniques, candidate selection, compensation, immigration work visas, union guidelines, and industry trends.
- Regularly check in with hiring managers and other collaborators on search and candidate status.
- Represent Disney Animation at major conferences and industry events. Ability to attract and bring in new and upcoming talent.
- Assist efforts to coordinate the studio’s talent outreach efforts
- Engage and develop relationships with recruiting partners in industry organizations and maintain awareness of professional trends and news. Understand overall landscape of studio schedules and how artist availability could be impacted.
- Lead requisitions and candidate workflows through the company’s applicant tracking system and other in-house tools
- Partner with collaborators including Artist Management, Human Resources, Compensation, Labor and Production Management to fulfill recruitment tasks from job marketing through candidate offers.
- Partner with Artist Recruitment team and other collaborators, including Operations and Technology, to support onboarding of new employees; including new hire orientation
- Form relationships with Talent Acquistion counterparts across Disney studios and other lines of business
- Offer support on cross-studios Talent Acquisition initiatives

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in an in-house recruiting role with an emphasis on Story, Design in Animation
- Solid knowledge of 2D and CG Animation, and/or Visual Effects production.
- Demonstrated experience in evaluating candidate artwork and/or technical qualifications.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively own the recruiting process as well as cultivate relationships with hiring managers
- Knowledge of Animation Guild (839)
- Knowledge of immigration, work visas and employment law.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems, Workday a plus.
- Ability to travel for Animation industry events, conferences, and school outreach trips.

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $75,200.00 to $103,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
