Quantity Surveyor, EES

Responsibilities

• Preparation and submission of Monthly Progress / Milestone payment claims to the Client including claims for variation orders.
• Valuation and processing of sub-contractors / vendors Monthly Progress payment claims and the timely issuance of Payment Certificate/Payment Response in accordance with the contract/SOP Act.
• Evaluation of the sub-contractors / vendors claims for variation orders, loss & expense and claim for extension of time.
• Identify any potential claims for extension of time and/or loss & expense and escalate it to the Project Management team for timely notification to the client.
• Assist the Project Management team in the preparation and submission of loss & expense and extension of time claim to the client.
• Escalation of any disputes with any of the sub-contractors / vendors to the Project Management team for early resolution.
• Preparation of cash flow forecast, budget, EAC and other cost reports as maybe required by the management.
• Keep track the validity of the bonds and warranties provided by the vendors / sub-contractors.
• Closing and finalisation of Final Account with all sub-contractors / vendors at the end of the project.
• Attend all meetings as required in the performance of his duties.
• Perform other duties as maybe required by the management from time to time.

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Mechanical Engineering
• Possess minimum 5 years of working experience as post contract M&E QS in the Construction industry preferably in the Main Contractor undertaking Design & Build / Turn-Key projects.
• Strong technical background with sound knowledge of pre- and post-contract duties
• Good working knowledge of the PSSCOC and Standard Method of Measurement
• Familiar with SOP Act
• Familiar with Plant processes and operations.
• Membership with QS Professional Bodies is preferred but not essential
• Able to work independently and be a good team player as well
• Possess excellent people skills with the ability to integrate within a multi-disciplinary team and communicate with external consultants and clients
