About the Role & Program
Would you like to gain a deeper understanding of project management at Disney? Then this opportunity is for you! The Disney Gift Card Services team is a group of hardworking and passionate individuals who build, launch, and maintain gift card products and promotions. As an intern on this team, you will learn how gift cards support the guest experience and company business initiatives. If selected for this role, you will be led by the Program Development Manager.
This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Lake Buena Vista, FL area from January 2025 – June 2025.
What You Will Do
The intern will partner with technology, finance, and business groups to perform various sustainment and project management activities related to all integration and platform efforts. On any given day, you might:
- Compile requirements and craft user stories for program and platform improvements
- Communicate project achievements to key partners
- Perform user acceptance testing and coordinate user access to various systems
- Build and maintain documentation and assist in training efforts
- Analyze metrics to tell stories depicting product performances and user experiences
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Upbeat self-starter who takes initiative – able to balance multiple tasks and priorities
- Ability to influence and establish relationships with internal and external partners at various levels
- Strong interpersonal communicator with the ability to adapt styles for technical and non-technical partners and work with confidential information
- Proficiency in the full array of Microsoft applications (including Teams, PowerPoint, Excel)
- A basic understanding of technical topics and an awareness of user interface/experience design trends and strategies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with project management processes and software, agile methodologies
- Engagement and familiarity with payment and digital consumer experiences
- Knowledge of crafting process flows and diagrams
Education
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) before participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- Currently enrolled senior, or graduated within the past six (6) months majoring in business, project management, information technology, or a closely related field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
Additional Information
- The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 – June 2025
- Must be fully available to work full-time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
