Project Engineer – DBC

Digital Building Components (DBC), a part of the DPR family of companies, is seeking a dynamic Project Engineer to support our needs as we continue to grow. DBC is one of America’s largest integrated manufacturers of prefabricated, factory-built interior and exterior wall panels; with our own internal team of designers, installers, and warehouse staff. We’ve embraced technology as we change how buildings are built, and more importantly, we’ve embraced that it takes a fantastic team of humans to help lead that change! The Project Engineer (PE) will act in a support role for the Project Management team to oversee and facilitate the management of active projects. This includes supporting design, fabrication, and installation teams through duration of projects and the ideal candidate will understand the construction and prefabrication process fully. 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Review and understand construction contract documents.
• Generate, track, log, and review RFI’s.
• Obtain, review, and document project submittals.
• Review and track project ASI, and similar change documentation.
• Schedule, host, and document internal project team meetings.
• Review and coordinate shop drawings and spool sheets across internal teams.
• Complete material takeoffs and procurement logs.
• Coordination with jobsite install teams.
• Tracks vendor/subcontractor schedules.
• Coordinate with fabrication shop for production handoffs and RFI’s.
• Gathers and submits project closeout documentation.
• Supports and interacts with internal and external team members.
• Seeks opportunities to take leadership roles in internal teams to grow capacity.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• A Strong work ethic and “can-do” attitude.
• Willingness to read into complex issues and learn.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experienced user of Microsoft Office suite of products and Revu BlueBeam.
• Revit or AutoCAD experience a plus.
• Procore experience a plus.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or 3+ related construction experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
