About the Role & Team
In addition to the four Disney theme parks in Hong Kong, Paris, Shanghai and Tokyo, Disney Parks International (DPI) is also the unit that develops experiences around the world using popular franchises and IPs from 20th Century Studios and National Geographic (the “Experiences”).
The Project and Production Manager will be the key person responsible for the production and project management of the team, working with internal and external stakeholders (including licensees and IP owners) to support the successful launch and ongoing activation of the Experiences globally.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Executive Director.
What You Will Do
Production Management
- Lead the lifecycle of all projects in collaboration with the project management team on the licensee side including venue proposals, design, feasibility, and installation.
- Serve as the team’s representative for all design matters for licensees and licensee vendors.
- Proactively and consistently lead communication with licensees, vendors, and other third-party partners throughout the creative development process to ensure concepts are developed in a way that aligns with Disney and IP-specific brand standards.
- Oversee project installation to ensure IP is presented acceptably for The Walt Disney Company and meets quality standards.
- Guide project teams to maintain guest experience quality standards.
- Provide actionable feedback to licensees throughout each phase to ensure attraction elements meet brand standards.
Project Management (External facing)
- Lead project deliverable matrix for projects and licensees to accurately track project status and ensure timely completion of project objectives.
- Facilitate attraction development submittal review process, ensuring all vital partners have an opportunity to review and provide feedback.
- Maintain project schedules in partnership with licensee project team leads.
- Act as the point of contact for TWDC-internal teams for the schedule and project scope.
- Ensure alignment between licensee projects and internal company initiatives.
- Facilitate regular communication with licensee product development and merchandise development teams for assigned portfolios.
- For active locations, (1) run product assortment plans for each project and IP portfolio and (2) monitor product sale metrics for internal reporting and future location planning.
- Lead and facilitate Disney Product Integrity policies for all product development teams with special emphasis on both Company-wide and IP-specific product integrity requirements.
- Maintain a library of assets throughout all phases of development for each licensee, project, and IP portfolio, and use this knowledge to guide licensee teams towards creative elements that align with IP directives.
- Lead research and vetting process for all prospective licensee attraction locations and concepts.
Project Management (Internal Department Operations)
- Lead Workfront Account for all projects and portfolios.
- Build WF project and asset workflows specific to IP and approval processes.
- Provide open communication with Adobe client contacts to ensure the account is active and updated.
- Handle a list of active Adobe licensed accounts and update regularly to align with The Walt Disney Company’s sensitive information projection standards.
- Manage Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media Digital Media Center (DMC) access and provide reference materials when requested by licensees or TWDC-internal partners.
- Collect and lead project status information for weekly leadership reporting.
- Supervise monthly and quarterly royalty reports from portfolio and project-specific activations.
- Craft and develop high-quality process improvement plans as department initiatives evolve.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years of project management experience in a fast-paced work environment, specializing in themed entertainment or live entertainment production.
- Outstanding analytical, communication, and presentation abilities, both verbal and written.
- Proactively engage and collaborate with internal partners to build and maintain positive relationships to identify business opportunities for the segment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat), Keynote, Quicktime Player, VLC, and FTP site and server.
- AutoCAD is a plus.
- Reading and interpreting technical design plans.
- Smartsheet or other project management software.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree.

The hiring range for this onsite position in Glendale, CA is $69,300.00 to $95,200.00 year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
