Job Summary:
Studio Operations is comprised of multiple disciplines related to the post production of our films. This includes localizing formats for global theatrical release, ensuring consistency and continuity in the voice and representation of our characters in media formats worldwide, ensuring secure delivery of films to exhibitors, retailers, and homes worldwide, converting of classic film content into digital formats, and managing of all Walt Disney Studios production and post production facilities (including sound stages and the Digital Studio).
This role will provide support for the Studio Operations International Post team. In this role, you will assist with the transactional details of title delivery for Theatrical and Disney+ Original titles. The ideal candidate is detail oriented and interested in growing in the organization. They are excited to engage with team members, partners and stakeholders. Responsibilities:
- Maintain content orders in internal Disney systems to ensure content is integrated with other systems and orders are clear to vendors
- By title, apply archiving rules to ensure content is appropriately inventoried
- Support APM and manager on component plans and build plans to ensure content delivers as expected
- Recognize when a plan is off track and escalate appropriately
- Assist with local territory requests for production assets to support censorship
- Prepare daily capacity report on POD-managed titles
- Monitor milestones and maintain status updates in system to ensure reports are accurate
- Partner with team on accounting, billing and PO requests
- Coordinate the day-to-day delivery priorities
- Identify process improvement opportunities
- Utilize a wide array of managing software programs, including Smartsheets, Google trackers, Microsoft Project, and various Disney-owned systems
- Administer vendor security program for vendors within the team’s purview and raise when vendors require training or security updates
- Back up work on trailer scheduling and reporting, as needed
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year entertainment or equivalent experience
- Proficient in using applications such as Microsoft Office, G-Suite applications and Microsoft Project
- Strong communication skills – able to establish working relationships with a variety of diverse people across many teams and disciplines
- Great organizational and time management skills
- Able to prioritize and execute against multiple titles and deadlines at one time
- Highly adaptable to change; nimble in accommodating changing priorities
- Take initiative on tasks and needs within the team
- Able to manipulate data for various projects/needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- An understanding of color grading, color spaces, aspect ratios and/or theatrical digital cinema mastering.
- Familiarity with localization including various assets such as subtitles, captions, dub credits and how they all work together to create a user experience.
- Understanding of communication styles and approaches for various level of management.
- Strong sense of curiosity in approaches to solving complex problems.
- Gifted at understanding the priorities of complex business decisions.
The hiring range for this position in California is $63,300 to $81,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
