Our Production Assistant will provide strong administrative and production field support for a variety of live show entertainment offerings, projects, and special events both on and off-property at the Walt Disney World Resort. You will report to the Production Manager.
What You Will Do
- Providing administrative support throughout the show life cycle of assigned projects including production scheduling, communication, and coordination of accesses
- Scheduling production team meetings while recording and distributing accurate concise notes
- Requesting/scheduling all talent for rehearsals, fittings, and performances as directed by the Production Manager
- Gather presentation materials, set up, and strike all meeting needs and technology
- Procure items necessary for the production, following all appropriate guidelines
- Prepare and provide event updates as they relate to technicians, vendors, and talent
- Maintain timelines, schedules, meetings, and status reports for our leadership teams
- Complete all show and/or event production-related tasks as requested by those teams
Required Qualifications & Skills
- A minimum of 2 years of production assistant and/or administrative support experience in a live show, event, or theatrical setting
- Experience crafting and following agendas, facilitating meetings, addressing action items, taking direction, meeting deadlines, and completing tasks
- Ability to use collaboration tools and file-sharing programs
- Experience coordinating meeting technology, such as conference calls, video-teleconferencing, and other virtual meeting connectivity
- Experience identifying areas for process improvement with implementation
- A reputation as a trusted and respected team member that guides with integrity
- Experience providing excellent service to Cast, Guests, Clients, and Partners
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and third shift
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience organizing and coordinating talent
- Familiarity working with entertainment unions or associations
- Flexibility to travel on domestic and international assignments
- A passion to work as part of a dynamic team and an eagerness to be part of a vibrant, creative work culture, bringing and sharing outstanding perspectives to the role
- Proficiency in any additional languages (Mandarin, French, Japanese, or Spanish)
Education
- High school degree or equivalent is required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred
