WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Here’s what you can expect on a typical day:

• Scrums. You’ll start every day with a scrum, working with your team to understand responsibilities, identify issues, and communicate priorities.
• Collaboration. You’ll work with architects, developers and testers to solve problems and create the best experience for the end-user.
• Coding.  Working in three-week sprints, you must keep up with deadlines and standards.
• Variety of work. There is no typical day. You could be working on anything from migrations, production defects, designs, delivering new features or product enhancements..
• Learning. You’re always learning new technologies and processes with tools such as Udemy and other training courses, conferences ADP offers, and operating with a “learn as you go” approach with a willingness to figure out new ways of doing things.
• Experience. You have 15+ years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.

You Will:

• Develop and maintain complex SQL 
• Develop and maintain complex PL/SQL
• Design and support application and infrastructure upgrades
• Develop and maintain bash shell scripts
• Develop scripts to copy data using Oracle data copy utilities (Export, Data Pump, Golden Gate, SQL*Loader, etc)
• Create and maintain cron jobs to audit database schemas
• Drive adoption of cloud database solutions
• SQL & PL/SQL performance tuning and optimization
• Analyze AWR reports to address bottle necks
• Contribute to new Oracle implementation methods
• Architect the database solution by collaborating with application development teams
• Design, configure and maintain the data replication
• Work with application teams to conclude the design solution for challenges
• Design and implement memory data solutions
• Work with various database technologies

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

15+ years of experience: 

• Oracle 19C+other versions.
• SQL
• PL/SQL
• Shell Scripting
• Golden Gate

6+ years of experience: 

• MySQL
• PostgreSQL
• Batch Scripting 
• PowerShell
• Data Copy utilities (Data Pump, SQL Loader, etc) 
• Data manageability with Delphix
• RDBMS
• XML/JSON 

3+ years of experience: 

• Golden Gate 
• NoSQL db models
• Splunk
• DB Cloud solutions (AWS)  

You’ll have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.  

For additional comfortability in the role: 

• Java
• Hibernate
