Responsibilities:

• Noise prediction
  • Work independently utilizing VAOne to carry out accurate modeling of vessel including appropriate simulation of noise sources to obtain a noise prediction
  • Refine model and provide suggestions on how to optimize prediction results
  • Analyze measurement data obtained and check against prediction to close the simulation loop and provide suggestions to improve results
• Shock and Vibrations
  • Work independently utilizing VAOne or Ansys to carry out accurate modeling of vessel including appropriate simulation of vibration and impact sources to obtain a vibration and shock prediction
  • Refine model and provide suggestions on how to optimize prediction results
  • Where applicable, analyze measurement data obtained and check against prediction to close the simulation loop and provide suggestions to improve the results.
• Structural design and modeling
  • Have a good understanding of structural design and calculations in order to mentor and lead a team of engineers
  • Check the design and calculations done by team members
  • Preferably able to do 3D modeling in Aveva Marine software

Requirements:

• At least 10 years’ relevant experience
• Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or related discipline.
• Technical experience in environmental acoustics, room acoustics, M & E noise control, predictive studies, recommendations-mitigation measures and computer stimulations.
• Technical experience in Shock and Vibration studies and analysis, designing and mitigation of shock loads.
• Experience in Hull and Accommodation Outfitting and General arrangement
• Able to mentor a team of engineers to carry out structural design and calculations
• Strong knowledge of international design codes, Classification and Statutory Rules and Regulations
• High proficiency in 3D modeling skills using 3D CAD software will be an advantage.
• Software Skills: VAOne, Aveva 3D, Rhino 3D, Autocad, ANSYS, Microsoft Office
