What to Expect
The successful candidate will have a minimum (4) years’ experience Polishing High Pressure Diecast Dies, or Plastic Injection mold. Polishing Milled and EDM’ed or Turned surfaces in hardened H-13 and P-20 materials. Experience also restoring welded surfaces in repair operations. You have experience with both Power tools, Air and Electric, Profilers and Grinders, as well as hand polishing tools.
What You’ll Do
- Polish and detail all machined Die / Mold surfaces to the prescribed surface finish requirements, maintaining the proper Draw polish to release Castings successfully, adding Radii and blending contours when necessary
- Work with the Die Shop team during final Spotting operations, assisting to complete final fitting and polish
- Work to the scheduled delivery dates for each Die component
What You’ll Bring
- (4) years’ minimum experience polishing die cast dies and plastic injection molds
- Proficient with use of all power and hand die polishing equipment
- Experience working with larger, multi-slide, diecast dies, preferred TIG welding a plus
