About the Role & Team
The Studio Payroll Team provides payroll services for creative and support function teams that create world-renowned and award-winning content including animation series and features, live-action motion pictures, television, and streaming content including Walt Disney Pictures, Walt Disney Animation Studios, ABC Signature Studios, Lucasfilm, Searchlight and many more. We also support Disney Theatrical Group, providing payroll services for Broadway shows in New York and touring the country. We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Analyst in our department.
The Residual Analyst is functionally responsible for executing residual payments and coordinating related work to insure deliverables are completed and deadlines are met. Duties include troubleshooting and issue resolution, customer service, and collaboration with both internal departments and unions/guilds to complete special projects and day-to-day payroll processing for this very high-volume payment group
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of administrative support experience
- Payroll experience, especially Entertainment Payroll and/or for employees covered by union agreements, preferred
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Work, Excel, and PowerPoint
- SAP experience a plus
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, meeting deadlines, making decisions and change course of action quickly
- Detail oriented with the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills
- Effective communicator, both verbally and written
- Positive attitude and the ability to be proactive, resourceful, and flexible
- Strong people skills, including the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
- Ability to take initiative and work with limited supervision
Education
Minimum
- High School Diploma, AA degree in Accounting, Business or Liberal Arts, or extended proven experience in the Entertainment Payment processing field.
Preferred
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent

The hiring range for this position in California is $76,800.00 to $93,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
